Lindsay Saber is a PhD student in Environmental Sciences and Engineering at the Gillings School of Global Public Health. As part of the Precision Microbiome Engineering (PreMiEr) center, her research focuses on the microbiome of built environments in La Paz, Bolivia. Her primary interests lie in understanding the interactions between environmental and human microbiomes to promote healthier environments through the implementation of disease-reducing water and sanitation interventions in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Lindsay earned her Master of Public Health degree from Emory University, where she led a wastewater-based SARS-CoV-2 surveillance study. She also served in the Peace Corps in Tanzania and received a Fulbright Research Grant to Kenya to study urinary tract infections in pregnant women.
