Connor LaMontagne is a PhD candidate and Lab Manager in the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering in the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He is an environmental microbiologist developing novel approaches for the surveillance of antimicrobial resistance in surface and wastewater. He holds a BS in Biotechnology from Rutgers University, and he uses this background to pursue a metagenomic and ecological understanding of public health microbiology.
