Catherine Rierson is a documentary producer and researcher exploring the intersection of identity, sense of place, and health. Some of her work includes Mossville: When Great Trees Fall, a documentary about one Louisiana man’s stand against the petrochemical industry, Big Charity, an investigative documentary about the broken public healthcare system in post-Katrina New Orleans; and Blind Angels, a miniseries and feature film about HIV hotspots in the American South and the advocates working to stop preventable death through education, testing, and broadened access to PrEP. Currently, Catherine is pursuing an MPH with a focus on Environment, Climate and Health.
