Lucy Tantum is a PhD student in Environmental Sciences and Engineering at UNC. Lucy's research interests broadly include WASH and global health intervention design, impact evaluation, and health systems strengthening. Her PhD research uses survey-based approaches and secondary data sources to evaluate impacts of WASH interventions in healthcare facilities. She also leads a WASH in healthcare facilities evidence mapping and systematic review project. Prior to joining the Water Institute, Lucy received a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Dartmouth College and worked on global health research projects in Liberia with the National Public Health Institute of Liberia and Stanford University. She is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
