Responsibility, Accountability and Resourcing: Citywide Inclusive Sanitation as a Public Service

Convening Organizations: Eastern and Southern Africa Water and Sanitation (ESAWAS) Regulators Association; Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor; Bluechain Consulting; Urban Research - To achieve Citywide Inclusive Sanitation, publicly organized sanitation service systems must be structured to support three functions: responsibility, accountability, and resource planning and management. This session will explore these three functions, building on new research and analysis from a range of countries, and featuring the insights of city-level decision-makers.
