The Water Institute would like to invite you to join us for the 2024 UNC Water and Health Conference Technology and Innovation Showcase, a special multi-day event dedicated to highlighting WaSH-related technologies and innovations in the sector. Returning this year, this event continues to be a quickly expanding and exciting aspect of the Conference. This year, The Water Institute at UNC will be partnering with Business Connect and RTI to sponsor the Technology and Innovation Showcase.

The Technology and Innovation Showcase will be held from 12:15 PM - 1:15 PM in the Grumman Auditorium on the following dates:

  • Monday, October 14th
  • Tuesday, October 15th
  • Wednesday, October 16th

The Technology and Innovation Showcase will feature a panel of judges from The Water Institute at UNC, Business Connect, and RTI plus William Kamkwamba as a special guest judge. William is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir, "The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind", now a feature film on Netflix. William is also the co-founder of the Moving Windmills Innovation Project, an initiative committed to ethical, hands-on development in Malawi. Technology and Innovation Showcase awards will be presented by this panel of judges during Thursday's Plenary Session. Please stay tuned for more information regarding Showcase Award Categories.

Want to highlight your WaSH-related technology or innovation?

Visit the portal below to submit your WaSH-related technology or innovation for the 2024 UNC Water and Health Conference Technology Showcase. You MUST REGISTER FOR AND ATTEND THE IN-PERSON CONFERENCE in order to participate in the Technology Showcase. The deadline to submit your innovation is Friday, September 20th at 11:59 PM EDT. After this date, we will not accept late submissions or reopen the portal.

The Water Institute at UNC will inform you if you are selected to present at the Technology Showcase along with your session day (Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday).
