The Plain-Language Guide to Rio+20

Twenty years after the “Earth Summit” in Rio de Janeiro, the Rio+20 conference in 2012 positioned sustainable development at the center of the global development agenda and made it the basis for eradicating poverty, improving quality of life, and transforming economies. In plain language, a new book by Felix Dodds and colleagues sets out the background to Rio+20 and the discussions shaping new Sustainable Development Goals expected to be agreed in September 2015. The authors make ten practical recommendations for international and national government decision-makers.
