Indicators for the Human Right to Water
Indicators for the human right to water and sanitation can help in tracking states’ progressive realization of the right. In the Journal of Human Rights Practice, researchers at The Water Institute inform indicator development for the human right to water and sanitation by analyzing the indicator development process for the human rights to health and education. An indicator development process model is then proposed as a basis for developing indicators that reflect the attributes of the right to water and sanitation.
