Making a Gift to the Institute

Your support allows the Water Institute to focus on the things we see as the 'elephants in the room' - the great big complex issues that are too readily ignored in favor of simpler and easier to answer questions, but which stand between humankind and progress- as we work towards transformational change at the interface of water, sanitation, hygiene, health and development.

We do this by:

  • Tackling the knowledge gaps that impede effective action on important water, sanitation and health issues.
  • Educating the next generation of leaders, both in North Carolina and around the world.
  • Bringing non-profits, government, academia and the private sector together at our annual Water and Health Conference to learn and discuss emerging issues and local and global challenges.
  • Creating a community of partners and friends like you who are helping us to make the world a better place.

You may designate how your contribution will be used:

Use my funds where needed most - Designating your contribution in this way allows the Water Institute to use funds to support our most important and urgent priorities.

Water Institute Student Fellowships – Your support to our students enables the Water Institute to develop the next generation of leaders in water, sanitation, health and development, so that they can meet future challenges in the U.S. and around the world.

Water Institute Conference Scholarships- The Conference provides an invaluable opportunity for top-ranked water and sanitation leaders from developing countries to network, learn and share, but many cannot afford to attend. Your scholarship’s benefits will be multiplied many times through the skills and knowledge they gain from the Conference.

If your gift is $100 or more, you will become a Friend of the Water Institute.

Thank you for your gift!
